“Erfgoeddag” (= Remembrance Day of the Universal Exhibition of 1913 in Ghent)
Sunday April 21, 2013 from 10:00 till 18:00 hrs in the STAM MUSEUM
This year Ghent celebrates the 100 year of the Universal Exhibition of 1913. It was located in front of our OBSG houses: both the parks named “Congreslaan” and “de Smet de Nayer plein”.
The new museum of Ghent, STAM MUSEUM (Bijloke-site – Godshuizenlaan 2 – 9000 Gent) invites all of you to a free visit of the STAM MUSEUM on Sunday April 21, 2013 from 10:00 till 18:00 hrs
The STAM MUSEUM invites all new citizens of Ghent to deposit in a room ad hoc a personnel object (it can be a painting, a letter or something else) as a remembrance of their stay in Ghent: where you came from and why you chose to stay in Ghent.
Films and audio tapes with testimonies will plunge you into the experience of the migrants.
As your roots are also outside of Ghent, you can help to build that Pop-Up Museum, so that it can grow from day to day, from 1913 up to April 2013!
